Head Soccer turns soccer into quick 2D one-on-one matches. Pick a character, score more goals before the timer ends, and use kicks, headers, and special attacks to break through the other player’s defense.
How to Play Head Soccer
Choose single-player to face the CPU or local two-player for a match on the same keyboard. Movement, jumping, and positioning decide who reaches the ball first. Once you have an opening, send kicks or headers toward the opponent’s net.
Each character has a special ability or super shot. These attacks can quickly change possession or create a scoring chance, so timing matters more than using them at random. A match ends when time runs out, and the player with more goals wins.
Defense matters as much as attack. Stay between the ball and your own goal, jump to block shots, and intercept the ball before the opponent can build pressure. In aerial contests, a well-timed jump can put you in position for a header or stop a high shot.
Tips for Winning Matches
- Watch the opponent’s position before using a super shot; it is most useful when their goal is exposed.
- Do not chase every ball into the far side of the field. Keep enough space to recover and defend your net.
- Mix special attacks with regular shots. Simple kicks can still score when the defender is out of place.
- Time jumps around rebounds and high balls to contest headers and block incoming attempts.
