Voxalike is a free browser voice-dubbing party game. You replace character dialogue with your own performance, then replay the finished scene as a video or audio track. Start with a short Dub Pack to learn the timing before adding room setup or multiplayer syncing.

What is Voxalike?

Voxalike turns recorded microphone lines into a completed scene. Choose a Dub Pack in Workshop, install its files through Mods, and record each prompted line. Community packs add new scenes and roles, while Judge Mods can change how the scoreboard is presented.

You can practice alone, build one shared dub in Co-op, or compare performances in PVP. Finished results can be replayed and exported as landscape video, vertical Shorts, or audio.

How to Play Voxalike

  1. Choose a Dub Pack. Subscribe to a compatible scene in Workshop, open Mods, and wait for the files to finish installing in your browser. If you use a local ZIP, install the same pack for every device or player that needs it.
  2. Run Mic Check. Select the physical microphone you want to use, speak at your normal performance volume, and confirm that the meter reacts. Allow browser and system microphone access when prompted.
  3. Record each line. Listen for the scene timing, perform the prompted dialogue, and commit the take. Replay it immediately, then retry if the delivery or timing is off. Keep headphones on so the scene audio does not bleed back through the microphone.
  4. Replay and export. Finish the pack, watch the completed dub, and save the available video or audio export before leaving the results screen.

Your timing, delivery, volume, and improvisation shape each take. Retry is part of the loop: use it to fix a late entrance, a flat delivery, or a recording that does not sound clear enough. In a room, everyone needs the same pack installed before players can Ready Up.

Tips for Voxalike

  • Start small. Use one short pack in Single Player to check your microphone, timing, replay, and export flow before joining a room.
  • Control the audio. Wear headphones and keep a consistent distance from the microphone. This helps prevent the original scene from entering your recording.
  • Retry before moving on. Listen to each take while the timing is fresh, and redo lines that miss the prompt or lack the delivery you want.
  • Sync multiplayer packs. If friends cannot Ready Up, make sure every player installed the same room pack, refresh Mods, rejoin the room, and try again after installation finishes.
  • Save results promptly. Keep the results tab visible while a local WebM video renders, and download the finished file before leaving the session.
