If you love word puzzles but want something more than spelling, Contexto is the challenge you’ve been looking for. Inspired by Wordle but focused on meaning, this daily puzzle uses AI to rank your guesses by how close they are to the secret word. It’s a logic game that makes you think about word relationships, not letter positions.

What is Contexto?

Contexto is an online word puzzle where you guess the secret word of the day using semantic similarity. Every guess gets a rank number - the lower the number, the closer you are. The AI compares your guess to the target using thousands of text sources, turning guessing into a search through meaning. It’s a fresh take on the Puzzle genre that rewards logic and vocabulary.

Unlike traditional word games, Contexto doesn’t care about spelling. A guess like “dog” might be close to “wolf” even if the letters are different. The game is available in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, with hints, light/dark themes, and an archive of past puzzles. It’s a daily Logic workout that also strengthens your Brain as you explore word connections.

How to Play Contexto

Type any single word into the box and press Enter. The AI gives your guess a rank number and color:

  • Green (1-300): Very close.
  • Yellow (301-1500): Getting warmer.
  • Red (1500+): Far off.

There are unlimited guesses, so you can experiment. A new puzzle drops every day at midnight. You can also play random or archived puzzles from the menu.

How to Get the First Green Guess

Start with broad, common words like “food,” “city,” “music,” or “animal.” These give you a quick sense of the topic. Once you see a low rank, brainstorm related words in that category. Nouns work best - most answers are everyday objects, places, or concepts.

Tips and Tricks for Contexto

  • Think in Categories, Not Synonyms Contexto ranks by contextual similarity, not just synonym closeness. For example, “apple” might be close to “fruit” or “computer” depending on the target.
  • Use Hints Strategically Easy hints halve your closest word’s rank, Medium moves you one position ahead, Hard gives a random clue. Use Easy when stuck, Hard for a challenge.
